JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) turned to lower this morning in line with most markets in the region, to tracking Wall Street.
U.S. stocks fell in a volatile session on Tuesday as the impasse over the debt ceiling in Washington continued with no sign of progress toward a resolution.
IDX opened higher but at 9.12 am Jakarta time, it fell 0.2% to 4510. Telkom dropped 4.3%, Bank Central Asia lost 1.4%, Adaro Energy dropped 3%, Bumi Serpong Damai fell 1.3%, Charoen Pokphand declined 1.3%, Lippo Karawaci lost 1.9%, Kalbe Farma lost 2.2%, Perusahaan Gas Negara down 1.8%, and Semen Indonesia lost 2.8%.
