JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The Indonesian Corruption Watch (ICW) and the Banten Transparency Society (MATA) revealed about the chain business of Banten Governor Ratu Atut Chosiyah and her family. This dynasty worked on 175 projects worth Rp1.148 trillion in Banten province during 2011-2013 period.
Koran Tempo, meanwhile, named some companies affiliated to Atut and her family; PT Sinar Ciomas Raya Utama, PT Profesional Indonesia Lantera Raga, PT Glindingmas Wahananusa, PT Bali Pacific Pragama, PT Gunakarya Nusantara, PT Buana Wardana Utama, PT Putra Perdana Jaya, PT Surtini Jaya Kencana, PT Mitra Karya Rattan, PT Citraputra Mandiri Internusa, and PT Ciomas Wahana Putra.
However, spokesperson of Atut’s family Fitron Nur Ikhsan plays downs the report. Fitron admitted that he does not know exactly companies controlled by Atut’s family as well as the projects handled by Atut’s companies.
Ratu Atut Chosiyah is a politician from Golkar Party, a party led by Aburizal Bakrie. She leads Banten province for 11 years, first three years as Vice Governor and seven years later as governor.
Atut was just examined by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) last week as witness in a bribery case related to the post election dispute of Lebak regency which dragged her brother Tubagus Chairy Wardhana aka Wawan and the dismissed Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court Akil Mochtar as suspects.
