JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) opened higher 0.7% at 4489 this morning in line with most markets in Asia region.

News that President Barack Obama will nominate Janet Yellen as Federal Reserve chairwoman gradually trumped concerns over a partial government shutdown in the U.S.

Nymex’s crude oil inched up 0.01% to US$101.61 per barrel in Asian trading this morning. Gold declined 0.21% to US$1,304.50 per ounce.

In Jakarta bourse, coal stock led market’s gain. Borneo Lumbung gained 4.35%, Indika Energy rose 1.2%, Adaro Energy increased 1%, and Berau Coal jumped 5.26%. While Bumi Resources was flat.
