TORONTO (Indonesia Today) – Manulife Financial Corporation reported its Indonesia insurance sales were US$23 million for the first quarter 2013, up eight per cent compared with the first quarter of 2012, driven by strong sales through bank distribution channels.
While Indonesia wealth sales reached US$298 million in the period, 41 per cent higher than the first quarter of 2012 driven by strong unit linked sales through our bank partners and mutual fund sales.
Asia Division continues to execute on its longer term growth strategy by expanding agency and bank channel distribution capacity. Contracted agents stood at approximately 52,500 as at March 31, 2013, a six per cent increase from March 31, 2012, with double digit growth in Indonesia and the Philippines. (Indonesia Today)
