JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – PT Indoritel Tbk (DNET) said its associated company Indomarco will open three to five Indomaret minimarkets per day.

“In the case of Indomaret, a new store typically generates net profit after operating for nine to 12 months, and the amount invested in such new store is generally recoverable within three to three and a half years of operation,” Indoritel said recently.

Indoritel has in June 2013 acquired a 40% interest in Indomaret for Rp2.6 trillion (US$262 million).

As of June 30, 2013, Indomaret had 8,039 stores throughout Indonesia, consisting of 5,202 stores which it owns and operates and 2837 stores under its franchise program. Indomaret generated gross sales of Rp25.93 trillion last year and Rp15.26 trillion in the first half of 2013.
