JAKARTA (Indonesia Today) – PT Humpuss Intermoda Transportasi Tbk (HITS), shipping company controlled by Tommy Soeharto, is now studying some options, including debt to equity conversion, in restructuring its debt amounting Rp1.4 trillion.
Theo Lekatompessy, HITS’ president director, said the company intends to settle its debt obligation this year.
“We might repay debts by installements, including paying with assets to creditors then we rent that assets from them,” he explained.
As of July 2013, HITS’ debt totaled Rp2.6 trillion with assets of Rp3.37 trillion plus equity of Rp729 billion.
