JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – PT Nippon Indosari Corpindo Tbk (ROTI), one of Indonesia’s leading breadmakers, plans to split its stock this year.
The company, controlled by Salim Group, will hold extraordinary general meeting (EGM) of shareholders in October 17, 2013 to seek approval on the plan.
At 10.20 am Jakarta time, ROTI gained 6.35% to Rp6,700 per share, falling 26% from its peak year to date.
The company booked net profit of Rp75.72 billion in first half of this year, flat compared to Rp72.13 billion in the same period of last year.
Net sales increased 23.8% to Rp706.88 billion from previous Rp570.36 billion. Cost of goods sold reached Rp379.88 billion then gross profit was Rp326.99 billion.
Currently the company has 8 factories with 24 productions lines. All 8 factories produce 613,393 dry/white breads per day and 2.8 million sweet breads per day.
