JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended down 1.2% to 4,463 Wednesday (Sept 18), led by banking stocks.

Bank Mandiri lost 3.89%, Bank Rakyat Indonesia fell 3.68%, Bank Negara Indonesia dropped 3.41%, and Bank Central Asia down 0.99%, and Bank Tabungan Negara shed 1.98%. While Bank Bukopin gained 1.54%.

Other losers were Alam Sutera (-1.72%), Bumi Serpong Damai (-1.36%), Telkom (-2.2%), Media Nusantara Citra (-5.34%), Waskita Karya (-3.33%), Wijaya Karya (-3.19%), Global Mediacom (-2.93%), and Japfa Comfeed (-2.58%).

Nymex’s crude oil increased 0.74% to US$106.20 per barrel. The rupiah weakened further to Rp11,492 against the US Dollar.
