JAKARTA (Indonesia Today) – state pawnshop operator PT Pegadaian plans to upsize its bond issue to Rp3 trillion from initial plan Rp2.5 trillion, Bisnis Indonesia reported this morning.

Dwi Agus Pramudya, finance director of Pegadaian, said the company is now re-arranging its external funding sources to support the financing expansion.

Currently, he said, around 77% of external fund comes from bank loan while the rest 23% is funded by capital market. “Might be 60% for bank loan and 40% from capital market,” Agus said.

He added the bond issue is scheduled for the first quarter of 2013.

Pegadaian targets its business to grow by 25-30% next year. It is also awaiting the approval for launcing the initial public offering (IPO) of shares. (hans@theindonesiatoday.com)
