JAKARTA (Indonesia Today) – Indonesia’s export reached US$14.12 billion in August 2012, dropped 24.3% from the same month last year, and declined 12.27% from July 2012.
Non-oil and gas export reached US$11.26 billion, fell 14.49% from July, and dropped 22.62% from August 2011. Overall, Indonesia’s export decreased 5.58% to US$127.17 billion for the first eight months of 2012, where non-oil and gas export down 5.58% to US$101.23 billion.
Indonesian crude oil price in international market increased to US$112.02 per barrel in August 2012, from US$102.88 in July 2012.
China is recorded as the biggest contributor for Indonesia’s export, especially for non oil and gas, (13.21%), followed by Japan (12.42%), and United States (9.78%).
On the other hand, total import jumped 10.28% to US$126.67 billion in eight months of 2012. August 2012 import was US$13.87 billion, dropped 15.21% from July 2012, and declined 8.02% from August 2011.
