JAKARTA (Indonesia Today) – Oil and gas company PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk (MEDC) booked net profit of US$7.1 million in the first half of 2012, dropped 35% from Rp10.99 million in the corresponding period of 2011.
Sales and operating revenue also fell 5.5% to US$554.3 million from previous US$586.42 million. Net sales of oil and gas increased to US$428.19 million but the company booked no income from power plant leasing.
As of June 2012, its assets totaled Rp2.62 billion while liability amounted Rp1.79 billion. It has cash and cash equivalent of US$733.37 million. (hans@theindonesiatoday.com)
