LUWU TIMUR (Indonesia Today) – The management of Vale Indonesia (INCO) was forced to shutdown a hydropower plant in Balambano Village, Wasuponda sub-district in East Luwu Regency, Friday (Sept 28) as vandals occupied the vital facility.
Kompas.com reported about 60 people managed to pass the wired wall around the hydropower plant. They entered operator room and threatened the lives of workers in the area. Security forces, meanwhile, were not able to contain the vandalism.
