SYDNEY (Indonesia Today) – Following discussions with Indonesian mining authorities, Kingsrose Mining Ltd expects to resume operations at its second mine, Talang Santo, in the near term.
“The management expects the suspension of operations at Talang Santo to be short term in nature and will not materially change the company’s plan for the mine,” Kingsrose said.
Talang Santo mine was suspended following a fatal accident, where one worker was killed. “Kingsrose remains confident that the outlook for Talang Santo is positive, with strong potential to continue growing both production and resources,” Kingsrose continued.
The company said operations are continuing as planned at the Way Linggo mine, where Kingsrose has 85% interest. Way Linggo produces high-grade gold and silver. (ferdi@theindonesiatoday.com)
