JAKARTA (Indonesia Today) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) dropped 1.11% to close at 4,180.16 on Wednesday (Sept 26) following Asian markets on renewed concern over European crisis.

European shares fell sharply and the single currency hit a two-week low on Wednesday as popular opposition within the euro zone to budget austerity measures unnerved investors already worried about a weak global growth outlook.

In Asia, Japan’s Nikkei dropped 2.03%, Shanghai lost 1.24%, Hong Konj’s Hang Seng declined 0.83%, Singapore’s Straits Times down 0.66%, Korea’s KOSPI shed 0.55% and Australia’s All Ordinaries slipped 0.3%.
