JAKARTA (Indonsia Today) – Tires Producer PT Multstrada Arah Sarana Tbk (MASA) targets to operate its new factory this year end, Bisnis Indonesia reported this morning.

Hartono Setiabudi, MASA’s director, said the factory has capacity of 30,000 units per day located in Cikarang, Bekasi, West Java.

“The operation of new factory, as well as the expansion of capacity in all existing factories, aim to anticipate the growing demand for tires along with the growing of national automotive industry,” he said.

Hartono said currently 75% of products are exported.??

While Pieter Tanuri, MASA’s president director, earlier said the company plans to build rubber processing factory with investment of US$10 million, equivalent Rp90.67 billion.

He said the factory is targeted to finish construction by this year end and is expected to support the production of 10-15 million of car tires per year. (hans@theindonesiatoday.com)
