JAKARTA (Indonesia Today) – Shares of Bumi Plc, co-owned by Bakrie Group, Borneo Lumbung Energi (BORN), and Nathaniel Rothschild, fell 21.67% to 195 pence in London Friday (Sept 21).
Trading volume was relatively thin with only 803,454 shares exchanged hands. With the fall, Bumi Plc has lost 86% from its peak in April 2011. It is not clear what had triggered the 21.67% fall.
Bumi Plc owns 29% shares in Bumi Resources (BUMI), the largest coal producer in Indonesia, and 85% shares in Berau Coal Energy (BRAU).??
Earlier in Jakarta, BUMI ended lower by 2.33% to Rp840 with 198 million shares exchanged hands. BRAU also fell substantially by 8.89% to Rp205.
Borneo Lumbung Energi, parent of coking coal producer Asmin Koalindo Tuhup, on the other hand, ended higher by 1.75%. (Indonesia Today)??
