JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Banking stocks were traded mixed early morning trade as investors are awaiting BI Rate decision.

Banking stocks had in past few days gained substantially on expectation BI Rate might be raised again to protect rupiah currency from further weakening against the US Dollar.

Governors of central bank, Bank Indonesia (BI) will hold meeting today for making a decision on BI Rate.

Bank Central Asia fell 2.5%, Bank Rakyat Indonesia declined 1.87%, and Bank Danamon down 0.62%. While Bank Mandiri and Bank Panin gained 0.62% and 1.56% respectively. Others were flat.
