JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) gained 2.84% to close at 4,191 on Monday (Sept 9), led by property and banking stocks.

Regional markets also closed in green. Shanghai jumped 3.39%, Japan’s Nikkei rose 2.48%, and India’s BSE gained 1.53%.

In Jakarta bourse, Alam Sutera surged 8.7%, Lippo Karawaci jumped 7.07%, Bank Central Asia climbed 5.1%, Bank Rakyat Indonesia lifted 6.67%, Bank Negara Indonesia hiked 5.07%, Bank Mandiri gained 3.73%, Bank Bukopin climbed 5.36%, and Bank Tabungan Negara rose 5.88%.

Other gainers were Charoen Pokphand (+7.27%), Japfa Comfeed (+5.5%), Indika Energy (+9.89%), Kalbe Farma (+3.2%), Semen Gresik (+7.17%), Waskita Karya (+7.69%), and Wijaya Karya (+3.05%).

Nymex’s crude oil declined 0.2% to US$110.29 per barrel. The rupiah was traded flat at Rp11,188 against the US Dollar.
