JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – While many people expressed their supports to Jokowi for running as the president candidate, Ruhut Sitompul, lawmaker from Democratic Party, said the Jokowi nomination is a thing for laugh.
Ruhut questions Jokowi’s achievement during Jokowi’s tenure in DKI Jakarta Governor position. All things done by Jokowi are basically a follow up works initiated by previous governor Fauzi Bowo, he noted.
Ruhut also shared his optimism that he will not worry if Jokowi will really run as president candidate. However, Ruhut opens the possibility for Jokowi to run as vice president candidate for Demokrat Party.
Previously the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) is targeting to harvest 27% votes in 2014′s legislative election to make sure the party securing the ticket of endorsing its own presidential & vice presidential pair candidate and as well as controlling the Parliament.
The target to control 152 seats from 560 total seats in the House of Representatives (DPR), was directly delivered by the patron leader of PDI-P, Megawati Soekarnoputri, in the closing of the three days party’s national leadership meeting held at Eko Park Convention in Ancol, North Jakarta.
