Petition Rejects Fauzi Bowo’s Nomination as Ambassador to Germany

JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – A group called itself Alliance Care for Indonesian Embassy in Germany (Berlin) has initiated a petition to reject the nomination of former Jakarta governor Fauzi Bowo as Ambassador to Germany.
The online petition filed to president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has been posted at Change.org on Friday, September 6th. As of today, the petition already got 129 supporters.
The Alliance rejects Fauzi, popular as Foke, among others, because of black campaign with religious, ethnic, and race (SARA) sentiments allegedly committed by Fauzi’s team in last year’s gubernatorial election in Jakarta.
“It is improper to choose a figure who does not supportive of multicultural and pluralism as representative for a plural nation like Indonesia,” the petition argued.
