JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Alfamart Group, minority shareholder of PT Bank Sahabat Sampoerna (BSS), will inject additional capital of Rp30.8 billion into BSS, to boost BSS’ capital adequacy ratio (CAR) to 20.4% by end of this year.
Alfamart had previously acquired 10.08% BSS shares from PT Cakrawala Mulia Prima. With additional capital injection, Alfamart’s interest in BSS inreases to 18%. While Sampoerna Group’s interest in BSS declines to 81%.
BSS targets its loan to grow by 40-45% to Rp2.4 trillion this year, with core capital to reach Rp385 billion. BSS’ assets totaled Rp2.25 trillion as of July 2013. Currently BSS operates 120 office branches in the country, mostly in Sumatera.
