SINGAPORE (Yosefardi) – Malaysia Smelting Corporation Berhad said PT Koba Tin has yet to receive further notification from the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (MEMR), Republic of Indonesia, with regard to Contract of Work extension (CoW).
Earlier MEMR informed PT Koba Tin of a 2-month extension of the evaluation period until the end of August 2013.
Koba Tin’s CoW which expired on 31 March 2013 has been subjected to an evaluation by the MEMR – appointed team since early April 2013. Koba Tin’s operations continue to remain inactive, with normal care and maintenance in place.
