JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Shares of Indika Energy (INDY) gained another 9% this morning, while subsidiary Petrosea retreated 2.2%.
More than 29 million shares were exchanged hands when INDY gained 9% to Rp730 after soaring more than 24% Tuesday. Petrosea also jumped 24% Tuesday, but down 2.24% this morning.
Adaro Energy and Borneo Lumbung Energy also gained substantially by 2% and 4.65% in the opening hour, while Resource Alam advanced 2.47%.
In the region, China Shenhua and China Coal retreated 1% and 1.64%, respectively, while BHP Billiton slipped 0.9% in Sydney.
Indonesia’s coal consumption increased 2.8% to 50.4 million tons (oil equivalent) in 2012 alongwith increasing electricity needs, compared to 48.9 million tons in 2011.
