SYDNEY (Yosefardi) – Killara Resources Ltd revealed that the management of PT Borneo Emas Hitam is now engaged in discussion with coal off-takers and traders.
Killara said 93 drill holes has been completed for a total of 3350 meters as at August 26, 2013 in the concession of Borneo Emas Hitam, of which 86 holes intersected target coal seams.
The company claimed that current production permit, land compensation, infrastructure, forestry classification, and ongoing works should allow for commencement of mining in an estimated three months “assuming positive results from mine planning and economic assessment activities.”
Borneo Emas Hitam has a coal concession in East Kalimantan province. Coal quality results form outcrop and drilling confirmed a direct shipping thermal coal product high high CV and low ash, but varying generally high sulphur levels.
