JAKARTA (Indonesia Today) – Cigarette producer PT Bentoel International Investama (RMBA) Tbk, a company controlled by British American Tobacco (BAT), has secured Rp2 trillion loans from banks to refinance its bonds.
Jusuf Salman, corporate secretary of RMBA, informed stock market authorities Friday (August 31), that the company has signed the loan agreement on August 29, 2012.
The company provided no further detail about the facility, but proceeds will, among others, be used to refinance Bonds I 2007 due November 2012 and funding the company’s capital expenditure in 2012-2013.
