JAKARTA, Indonesia Today – Newly-listed PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur (Bank Jatim) Tbk, a regional bank owned by East Java Provincial Administration, reported 14.6% drop on its first half 2012 net profit to Rp368.79 billion despite bigger interest revenues.
Net interest income for the period rose 5% to Rp949.78 billion, but following bigger operational expenses, the company saw its operating profit decreased 14.6% to Rp489.14 billion.
Total assets, meanwhile, jumped 25% to Rp30.23 trillion. Liabilities also rose 22% to Rp26.4 trillion.
