JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended higher by 3.1% on Friday (June 28), in line with regional and global markets.
Japan’s Nikkei also jumped 3.5%, India’s BSE rose 2.5%, while other markets in Asian region gained more than 1%.
In Jakarta bourse, blue chips led market’s gain. Astra International surged 4.48%, Bank Central Asia climbed 5.82%, Bank Rakyat Indonesia hiked 4.73%, Bank Mandiri added 2.86%, Borneo Lumbung lifted 6.94%, Bumi Resources advanced 3.77%, Adaro Energy surged 7.5%, Perusahaan Gas Negara rose 3.6%, and Telkom gained 4.17%.
Other gainers were Lippo Karawaci (+2.7%), Bumi Serpong Damai (+2.86%), Kalbe Farma (+4.35%), Bumi Resources Minerals (+5.26%), Bank Bukopin (+2.86%), Hanson International (+10.45%), Bhakti Investama (+5.49%), Global Mediacom (+3.61%), and Media Nusantara Citra (+6.84%).
Nymex’s crude oil increased 0.4% to US$95.99 per barrel. The rupiah strengthened to Rp9,929 against the US Dollar.
