JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) opened up 1.9% to 4,760 this morning to tracking gains in regional markets.
Asian shares edged higher to extend gains for a third day on Friday, tracking an overnight rise in global equities on easing fears of an early end to U.S. monetary stimulus, but caution remained about the recently volatile Chinese markets, Reuters reported.
In Jakarta bourse, Astra International gained 5.2%, Perusahaan Gas Negara rose 2.7%, Adaro Energy increased 2.5%, Bumi Resources climbed 3.8%, Bank Central Asia hiked 3.2%, Bank Rakyat Indonesia jumped 3.4%, Bank Mandiri advanced 1.14%, Kalbe Farma added 1.45%, and Lippo Karawaci up 0.68%.
Other gainers were Media Nusantara (+3.4%), Wijaya Karya (+2.35%), Waskita Karya (+1.25%), Global Mediacom (+1.2%), Multipolar (+3.45%), Pakuwon Jati (+2.9%), Visi Media (+2.56%), and Bumi Resources Minerals (+5.26%).
Nymex’s crude oil inched down 0.02% to US$97.03 per barrel in Asian trading this morning.
