JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) extended its gain this morning following regional and global markets.
At 10.11 am Jakarta time, IDX gained 2.7% to 4,712. Korea’s KOSPI rose 2.97%, Japan’s Nikkei increased 1.9%, Australia’s All Ordinaries up 1.9%, Shanghai hiked 1.25% and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng advanced 1.55%.
In Jakarta bourse, blue chip stocks with relatively strong fundamentals to weather possible crisis continue to lead the recovery.
Astra Internasional jumped 5.38%, Alam Sutera lifted 2.5%, Bank Rakyat Indonesia hiked 2%, Bank Negara Indonesia advanced 2.98%, Bank Mandiri up 2.9%, Perusahaan Gas Negara gained 4.76%, and Telkom surged 6.83%.
Other gainers were Global Mediacom (+5%), Pakuwon Jati (+4.6%), Hanson International (+3%), and Wijaya Karya (+4.8%).
Nymex’s crude oil increased 0.53% to US$96.01 per barrel.
