JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) opened up 1.38% to 4,840.55 this morning while regional markets were mixed.
Construction stocks Waskita Karya jumped 4.49% while Wijaya Karya climbed 4.3%. Property stocks also gained; Alam Sutera (+3.4%), Bumi Serpong Damai (+0.5%), and Lippo Karawaci (+2.4%).
Banking stocks also support index’s gain. Bank Rakyat Indonesia rose 2.6%, Bank Negara Indonesia increased 1.1%, and Bank Mandiri added 1.1%.
Other advancers are Astra International (+0.7%), Adaro Energy (+2.35%), Bumi Resources (+3.8%), Perusahaan Gas Negara (+3.7%), Telkom (+3.85%), Global Mediacom (+6.7%), and Multipolar (+3.3%).
Nymex’s crude oil inched up 0.1% to US$97.87 per barrel in Asian trading this morning.
