JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Director general of immigration has imposed overseas travel ban on Waryono Karno, secretary general of energy and mineral resources ministry, related to investigation into graft scandals at SKK Migas.
“The overseas travel ban effective on August 29,” said Heryanto, spokesperson of directorate general of immigration at ministry of law & human rights affairs.
Heryanto said the travel ban was imposed upon a request from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) related to investigation into bribery scandal implicating former SKKMigas head Rudi Rubiandini.
KPK has earlier confiscated US$200,000 in cash from Waryono’s office, funds considered operating funds by energy & mineral resources minister Jero Wacik.
KPK chief Abraham Samad said the agency will first examine Waryono (right side of Jero in the picture) before summoning Jero Wacik.
