JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Malayan Banking Berhad (Maybank), holding company of PT Bank Internasional Indonesia (BII) Tbk (BNII), booked net profit of RM3.18 billion in first half (H1) ended June 30, 2013, grew by 11.8% from RM2.84 billion in the same period of last year.
Net interest income increased to RM4.77 billion from previous Rp4.5 billion. The bank booked interest income of RM7.96 billion.
It also booked income from Islamic Banking Scheme operation of RM1.28 billion and non interest income of RM3.16 billion. Then net income reached RM9.28 billion, compared to previous RM8.58 billion.
Its assets totaled RM536.27 billion, of which loans, advances and financing accounted for RM325.96 billion. While liability amounted RM489.91 billion. of which deposits from customers totaled RM372.5 billion. (yohanneso@yosefardi.biz)
