Malaysia’s KLSE lost 1.18%, Shanghai fell 0.44%, Singapore’s Straits Times declined 0.25%, and Australia’s All Ordinaries shed 0.16%. Japan’s Nikkei and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng also corrected. Only Korea’s KOSPI and India’s BSE gained 0.05% and 0.31% respectively.
In Jakarta bourse, banking stocks led the index’s fall. Bank Rakyat Indonesia lost 1.88%, Bank Mandiri declined 2.87%, and Bank Negara Indonesia slipped 0.65%. Property stocks also declined. Sentul City dropped 2.87%, Lippo Karawaci down 2.91%, while Alam Sutera flat.
Others losers were Adaro Energy (-1.78%), Borneo Lumbung (-3.57%), Perusahaan Gas Negara (-1.09%), Trada Maritim (-0.77%), and Bakrie Sumatera (-1.03%). While Bakrie Development gained 1.82%. Bumi Resources and Energi Mega were unchanged.
