JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Five gas sales and purchase contracts have been signed on Friday (May 22) in the sideline of the 2015 Indonesia Petroleum Association (IPA) conference. The contracts would contribute US$2.26 billion or Rp29.5 trillion to the state.
That 5 contracts are;
1/ Contracts amendment between Santos (Sampang) Pty Ltd and PT Indonesia Power with 29 billion British thermal unit per day (BBTUD) capacity for 10 years period.
2/ Contracts amendment between CNOOC and Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) ONWJ with 1 BBTUD capacity for 2 years period.
3/ Contracts between Husky-CNOOC Madura Limited (HCML) and PT Petrokimia Gresik with 58 BBTUD capacity for 10 years period.
4/ Contracts amendment between HCML and PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN) with 20 BBTUD capacity for 20 years period.
5/ Contracts amendment between HCML and PT Inti Alasindo Energy with capacity of 40 BBTUD capacity for 20 years.
The use of all contracted gas is aimed to supply for fertilizer, electricity, and industry sectors. In 2014, gas supply for domestic consumption reached 59.8% while export was 40.20%. For 2015, the domestic gas supply is targeted to reach 62.7%.
