NUSA DUA (Indonesia Today) – Five gas sales and purchase agreement have been signed at the opening of “Gas Information Exhange in the Western Pacific Area (GASEX) 2012” held today in Nusa Dua, Bali.
All the contracts aims to support domestic consumption, mainly electricity sector.
“The government will get revenue of US$192 million during the period of contract,” said R. Priyono, chairman of BPMigas (upstream oil and gas regulator).
The contracts signed include contract of between PT Pengembangan Investasi Riau with JOB Pertamina-Talisman Jambi Merang. The gas delivery will run for 7 years starting next month. This contract will contribute revenue of US$110 million to the state.
Other gas contracts aims to support electricity sector in Nunukan, East Kalimantan. Perusahaan Daerah Nusa Serambi Persada and JOB Pertamina
