JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The investigator team from the National Police’s Criminal Investigation Unit (Bareskrim Polri) will examine founder of PT Trans Pacific Petrochemical Indotama (TPPI) Honggo Wendratmo as one of suspects in corruption case surrounding the supply of condensates to TPPI in Singapore.

The Bareskrim’s Director of Economy & Special Crimes Brig. Gen. Victor E. Simanjuntak told the press that his side have secured permission from the Chief of the National Police to examine Honggo.

Victor revealed that the police’s investigator team has planned to fly to Singapore next week.

As reported earlier, Honggo is reportedly in a hospital in Singapore for medical treatment. Honggo has been named as one of three suspects in this case along with Djoko Harsono (former BPMigas’s Deputy Finance & Marketing) and Raden Priyono (former BPMigas Chief).

The state losses, based on calculation from the Development Finance Comptroller (BPKP), is estimated to be around US$139 million from this case. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
