JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Three state banks plan to refinance infrastructure project to China Development Bank (CDB) and PT Bank ICBC Indonesia, to help lowering loan to deposit ratio (LDR) and accelerate loan disbursement for new infrastructure projects.
PT Bank Mandiri Tbk (BMRI) plans to refinance Rp600 billion syndicated loans with PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI) and PT Bank Negara Indonesia Tbk (BBNI) for toll road project in Bali.
CDB and ICBC plans to provide loan of US$50 billion for projects in Indonesia. While Indonesian state banks’ loan to deposit ratio (LDR) reached 84.96% as at March 2015.
While undisburement loan of BBNI amounted Rp9.2 trillion for the first quarter of 2015, due to the lack of government spending. While BBRI reported Rp7 trillion undisbursement loan for infrastructure during the first quarter of this year.
BBNI provides Rp20 trillion loan for the second quarter to fourth quarter of this year.
