JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Government of Indonesia is set to launch the initial public offering (IPO) of 2 state plantation firms next year, Bisnis.com reported.

Dahlan Iskan, minister of state-owned enterprises (SoE), said his ministry will soon propose IPO plan of 2 plantation firms to the privatization committee.

If the committee gave approval then SoE Ministry will propose to House of Representative (DPR) for the approval by the parliament.

Dahlan added the discussion about holding company for plantation firms is still underway, yet to get decision, then SoE Ministry opts to launch IPO of 2 plantation firms.

SoE Ministry had previously proposed to launch IPO for PT Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN) III, PTPN IV, and PTPN VII.
