Authorities confirmed that there are 162 people aboard of AirAsia QZ 8501, which went missing in Belitung waters, Indonesia. Manifest of passengers also confirmed 26 no-shows, including three infants.
The plane had seven crew, including French national as co-pilot, and 155 passengers. The plane lost contact with air traffic control 42 minutes after takeoff from Surabaya, East Java.
Among the no-shows are a family of six and two families of four each. It is not clear why they didn’t show up.
In the list of passengers aboard the plane, there are some families with three or four members.
